Marine Cast Iron Globe Valves is a kind of valve used on ships, which belongs to the forced sealing type valve. The valve body is made of FC200 carbon steel, which has the advantages of low cost and strong corrosion resistance. The medium flow direction is straight-through, that is, the medium inlet and outlet channels are designed in the same direction, forming an angle of 180°, so that the fluid flows in a straight line in the pipeline. This design makes the straight-through stop valve have the characteristics of small flow resistance and labor-saving operation, and is suitable for high-flow occasions. Its working principle is that the valve disc moves along the center line of the valve seat, and the sealing is achieved by controlling the on and off of the fluid. This valve has good sealing performance and stable operation. It is often used in the fresh water system and steam system of ships, etc., and can accurately adjust the flow.

During the opening and closing process of Marine Cast Iron Globe Valves, the opening height is generally only 1/4 of the diameter of the valve seat channel. The opening height is small, the opening and closing time is short, and the flow rate is easy to adjust; there is no relative sliding between the valve disc and the sealing surface of the valve seat, so the wear and scratches on the sealing surface are small, the service life of the stop valve is long, the stop valve has a simple structure and good manufacturing process, easy maintenance, and a wide range of pressure applications; the stop valve connection methods are divided into three types: flange connection, threaded connection, and welding connection. The opening and closing parts of the stop valve (stop valve, Globe Valve) are plug-shaped valve discs, the sealing surface is flat or conical, and the valve disc moves linearly along the center line of the valve seat. The movement form of the valve stem (common name: dark rod) also has a lifting and rotating rod type, which can be used to control the flow of various types of fluids such as air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metal and radioactive media. Therefore, the stop valve is very suitable for cutting or regulating and throttling. The stop valve has also achieved remarkable results in resisting the corrosion of seawater. It plays a vital role in the ship system and ensures the normal operation and safety of the ship pipeline.

Marine Cast Iron Globe Valves are strictly selected and meet domestic and international standards such as BV/DNV/ABS/CCS/LR. They have reasonable structure, beautiful appearance, strong pressure resistance, precision processing, anti-leakage design, convenient operation, strong versatility, high temperature resistance of 200ºC, adapt to harsh marine environment, and ensure navigation safety.

 

For stop valves, not only installation and maintenance, but also operation are required. When opening and closing the stop valve, the force should be stable and no impact should be applied. When the stop valve is fully opened, the hand wheel should be reversed slightly to tighten the threads to avoid loosening and damage. When the pipeline is first used, there is a lot of internal dirt. The stop valve can be slightly opened and flushed away by the high-speed flow of the medium, and then gently closed (not closed quickly or violently to prevent residual impurities from pinching the sealing surface), opened again, and repeated many times to flush the dirt and put it into normal operation. The sealing surface of the normally open stop valve may be contaminated with dirt. When closing, it should be flushed clean with the above method and then closed tightly. If the handwheel or handle is damaged or lost, it should be replaced immediately. Do not use a loose wrench to replace it, so as not to damage the valve stem and cause opening and closing problems, which may cause accidents in production. For stop valves in environments that are easily contaminated by rain, snow, dust, wind and sand, the valve stem should be equipped with a protective cover. The scale on the stop valve should be kept intact, accurate and clear. The lead seal, cap, pneumatic accessories, etc. of the stop valve should be complete and intact. It is not allowed to knock, stand or support heavy objects on the stop valve in operation; after installation, the stop valve should be inspected regularly, and the main inspection items are:

(1) Wear of the stop valve sealing surface.

(2) Wear of the trapezoidal thread of the valve stem and the valve stem nut.

(3) Whether the packing is outdated and invalid. If damaged, it should be replaced in time.

(4) After the stop valve is overhauled and assembled, the sealing performance test should be carried out.
